According to meteorological officials, the southwest monsoon has arrived extremely near to Sonbhadra, the state’s southern boundary, even if pre-monsoon thunderstorms were occurring in several areas of Uttar Pradesh.
They stated on Sunday that there was a chance of significant rainfall starting on Tuesday in some areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh and on Wednesday in some areas of western Uttar Pradesh.
Beginning on June 24, residents of Lucknow, the state capital, may encounter intermittent rainfall. Senior scientist Atul Kumar Singh of the Lucknow Met office predicted that starting on June 25, the intensity of the rains would probably rise.
The majority of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh had already been affected by the monsoon, he noted, and there was a good chance it would arrive in Uttar Pradesh during the next two to three days.
In the meantime, Lucknow recorded highest and minimum temperatures of 39.8 and 29.6 degrees Celsius, respectively. The city was expected to have one or two periods of rain and a partially cloudy sky with the potential for thunderstorm development. On Monday, the mercury can range from 40 to 29 degrees.

These locations may also see strong surface winds with velocities of up to 20 to 30 kmph. According to the IMD, scorching conditions could continue in several areas of the Western U.P.
