CM Nayab Singh Saini reviews Child Care Institutions under Mission Vatsalya and directs better safety, education, financial support and facilities for children.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has reviewed the arrangements at Child Care Institutions operating under Mission Vatsalya and directed officials to ensure that children receive a safe, supportive and positive environment.
The review focused on strengthening facilities, education, financial assistance and protection mechanisms for children living in these institutions.
Juvenile Justice Fund to Be Increased to ₹10 Crore
During the review, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini directed that the Juvenile Justice Fund be increased to ₹10 crore. The move is aimed at strengthening support systems connected with child protection and juvenile justice.
He also directed that financial assistance for victims of POCSO and other sexual offences be increased from ₹20,000 to ₹50,000.

Solar Panels for Children’s Homes
The Chief Minister Nayab Singh also called for solar panels to be installed at Children’s Homes. The direction is intended to improve the energy arrangements at these facilities while encouraging the use of renewable energy.
Officials were asked to pay attention to the overall infrastructure and facilities available at Child Care Institutions so that children can live in a secure and supportive environment.
Focus on Quality Education
Education emerged as another key area during the review. The Chief Minister directed officials to give special attention to the quality of education provided to children living in Child Care Institutions.
He also called for financial assistance for children with disabilities. In addition, arrangements should be made for children who wish to pursue their education in private schools, ensuring that their educational needs are properly addressed.
Emphasis on Safety and Positive Environment
The Chief Minister Nayab Singh stressed that children living in Child Care Institutions should receive more than basic care and accommodation. Their educational, developmental and social needs also need to be addressed through appropriate facilities and support.
Officials were directed to ensure that the institutional environment remains safe and positive for children and supports their overall development.
Strengthening Child Welfare Under Mission Vatsalya
The review of Child Care Institutions under Mission Vatsalya highlights the focus on improving child protection and welfare arrangements. The directions cover financial support, education, infrastructure and safety-related measures.
