As part of the grand week organized by the State Government to commemorate Rajasthan Divas, a meeting was held at Albert Hall, Ramniwas Bagh, Jaipur on Wednesday to coordinate various departments for the successful organization of the cultural evening to be held at Albert Hall on 30th March 2025.
Governor Haribhau Bagade, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion. The meeting was chaired by Shri Ravi Jain, Secretary, Department of Tourism, Government of India and was attended by Shri Jitendra Soni, District Collector, Jaipur along with officers of various departments. In this regard, necessary instructions had been given to all the concerned departments.
Celebrated folk artists from Rajasthan as well as Bollywood singers like Ravindra Upadhyay, Akanksha Sharma, Piyush Pawar, Karanbir Bohra and Madhu Bhatt will perform at this colourful evening on March 30 at 7 pm.
Secretary Tourism Shri Ravi Jain directed the officials that this time on the occasion of Rajasthan Day, Jaipur city should be decorated with grand lights like 15th August and 26th January. He directed the JDA to specially illuminate the main intersections and historical buildings and the Municipal Corporation to ensure better arrangements for the cleanliness of the city. Also, directions were given to the concerned departments to ensure proper seating arrangements, drinking water, medical facilities and availability of ambulances for the general public and special guests.
Various programmes are being organized by the Tourism Department throughout the week on the occasion of Rajasthan Diwas, including:
March 26-27: “Dekho Apna Shehar” awareness tour, which will have events especially for children at Albert Hall, City Palace and Jantar Mantar.
March 27: On World Theatre Day, stage “Manas Ramlila” at 7 pm at Rajasthan International Centre (RIC), directed by Aru Vyas of National School of Drama.
March 28: Solo act based on “Tulsidas” at Birla Auditorium at 7 p.m. which will be presented by renowned artist Shekhar Sen.
March 29-30: Nature Trekking and Adventure Events, including trekking from Amba Mata Temple to Sagar Lake on March 29 and from Kheri Gate to Sagar Lake on March 30.
March 30: Treasure hunt and car rally from Amar Jawan Jyoti at 11 am, followed by cultural evening in the evening.
March 25-30: Crafts, food and art festival at Jawahar Kala Kendra from 5 pm to 10 pm daily.
The week-long event will showcase the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan as well as promote tourism.
