Under the leadership of District Collector Lok Bandhu, mock drills were conducted at Hindustan Petroleum Depot at Saradhana, GAIL Gas Plant at Nasirabad, and Kishangarh Airport on Wednesday. As soon as the information was received, all the departmental officers, along with their human and other resources, left for the designated places for the mock drill.

During the mock drill, 19 persons trapped in the mechanical workshop were rescued. The fire was doused by the police and fire brigade personnel. The injured were rescued by the State Disaster Response Force. Six seriously injured were referred to Community Hospital, Nasirabad. Police were also helping in this. One of the critically injured was referred to the Ajmer headquarters hospital. The team of India Communications Corporation restored the cable and modem. The rescued persons were taken to a shelter home. Food and accommodation will be provided to them. Additional District Magistrate Gajendra Singh Rathore conducted the mock drill. He issued instructions to officials.
Teams of civil defense, medical fire, police, and administration reached the HPCL depot at Saradhana in a very short span of time. Everyone immediately started to work. The fire brigade and the plant’s firefighting teams began spraying water and chemicals to control the fire at the plant. Similarly, the civil defense team evacuated the people trapped in the accident and took them to a safe building. The injured have been rushed to the district hospital and the nearest hospital.

The terminal building was immediately evacuated and relief and rescue operations were initiated. The injured were rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Fire brigade, police, and NDRF personnel were engaged in rescue work with the help of locals. Additional District Magistrate Gajendra Singh Rathore and Sub-Divisional Officer Nisha Saharan monitored the mock drill. Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma, Joint CP Harsh Dayama, MC Additional Commissioner Aditya Dachalwal, MC Joint Commissioner Ankur Mahindru, ADC Khanna Sakatar Singh Bal, besides several others were also present on the occasion.
