The Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM) 2025, organised under the joint aegis of Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) and Rajasthan Tourism Department, got off to a grand start on Friday
RDTM 2025 : The first day of this important three-day event became a living example of the confluence of tradition and modernity of Rajasthan. The inaugural session held at City Palace was graced by Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Diya Kumari, Commissioner of Rajasthan Tourism Department Ms. Rukmani Riyad, President FHTR Shri Kuldeep Singh Chandela, Secretary General FHTR CA Virendra S. Shekhawat, Senior Vice President Shri Surendra S. Shahpura and other dignitaries.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said, “Rajasthan’s tradition, culture and hospitality are our real strength. RDTM 2025 will further strengthen this identity and position the State at the forefront of tourism. “We have to make Rajasthan the number one destination in the world in terms of tourism. We will soon launch a tourism app in Rajasthan which will make it easier for tourists to visit Rajasthan Especially for women tourists, this tourist app will make the experience of visiting Rajasthan good and safe. “We are developing tourist facilities in Rajasthan. We are also doing the work of preserving the havelis of Shekhawati. We have a special focus on preserving the historical heritage, art and culture of Rajasthan. He said that this event is not only a medium to promote tourism, but it is also a bridge to investment, employment and development of local communities. Rajasthan will emerge even stronger on the global map through RDTM.
Ms Rukmani Riar, Commissioner, Department of Tourism, Rajasthan said that RDTM 2025 is not just an event but a reflection of the changing tourism vision and prospects of Rajasthan.
FHTR President Shri Kuldeep Singh Chandela said that RDTM 2025 has proved that when tradition and modernity come together, the tourism world gets a new direction.
On the occasion, personalities and institutions who have made notable contributions to the tourism sector were also felicitated. In this series, Senior Hotelier Shri Ajit Kumar Bansal was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award and Enduring Impact on Tourism & Administration Award was given to IAS Shri Niranjan Kumar Arya. Woman Empowerment in Hospitality & Tourism Award was received by IAS Smt. Gayatri Rathod. The Legacy of Heritage and Tourism Award was given to Samode Hotels (Rawal Raghuvendra Singh and Rawal Yaduvendra Singh Samode). The Hall of Fame Award was given to Shri Rajiv Mehra, former President of Indian Association of Tour Operators and the Outstanding Journalism-Wildlife & Tourism Award was given to Shri Nirmal Tiwari, Senior Journalist.
B2B meetings and expos will be the main attractions –
B2B meetings and expos between buyers and sellers will be held at B.M. Birla Convention Centre on 13th and 14th September. During this time, visitors will get a ‘one-stop solution’ of services related to tourism and hospitality. Also, the exhibition open to the general public will be a platform to experience the diverse and rich dimensions of tourism.
The participation is much wider this time than in the previous edition. The large participation has reinforced the hope that Rajasthan is not only a land of events but a vibrant confluence of experiences, cultural heritage and business opportunities.
