Sixth pay panel proposals for assisted workers are approved by Punjab FM.

Sixth pay panel proposals: The decision will benefit non-teaching staff at these institutions within the higher education department, retirees of aided schools, and staff members of aided schools and colleges under the departments of school education, technical education, and industrial training.

Sixth pay panel proposals: Harpal Singh Cheema, the finance minister of Punjab, approved in principle on Thursday the implementation of the sixth pay commission’s recommendations for staff members working in assisted educational institutions.

According to a release from Cheema, the decision will help non-teaching staff at these institutions within the higher education department, retirees of aided schools, and staff members of aided schools and colleges under the departments of school education, technical education, and industrial training.

“A notification for the implementation of the sixth pay commission recommendations for employees of aided institutions and those who have retired from aided schools has been directed to the administrative departments,” he stated.

The departments will evaluate the deficit analysis and submit a comprehensive plan with financial consequences after reviewing the financial statements of all aided schools and colleges for the last three years. “The finance department will grant financial sanction to these institutions after taking into account the proposal from the administrative departments,” he continued.
