CM Bhajanlal Sharma : The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Sambal Pakhwada held in Rajasthan from 24th June to 9th July proved to be an effective initiative in reaching the benefits of government schemes to the person standing in the last row and solving the problems pending for years. With the spirit of “Lakshya Antyodaya, Prana Antyodaya, Path Antyodaya,” this Pakhwada symbolized the sensitivity of CM Bhajanlal Sharma and his commitment towards public service.
CM Bhajanlal Sharma himself visited the camps at Balotra, Jodhpur, Kota, Khairthal-Tijara, Kotputli-Behror, Churu, Bikaner and Sawai Madhopur and interacted directly with the people and made them aware about the schemes.
Resolving land disputes
Special efforts were made to expeditiously dispose of revenue matters pending for years in rural areas. During the fortnight, 60,716 Seemajnan, more than 1.32 lakh NAMs, 26,858 consent divisions and 31,848 routes were resolved by the Revenue Department. This not only improved the paperwork but also gave thousands of citizens their rightful documents.
New power and water supply
Concrete work was done in the direction of providing uninterrupted electricity and water from villages to towns. The Energy Department fixed 55,437 dangling electric wires, while the Public Health Engineering Department gave 43,493 new tap connections and cleaned 15,869 water tanks. At the same time, the Forest Department emphasized environmental protection by distributing more than 1.92 crore saplings under the ‘Ek Vriksha Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. The Agriculture Department distributed more than 1.91 lakh Soil Health Cards.
Social and economic security has been strengthened
Under the National Food Security Scheme, 1.88 lakh applications were disposed of, and more than 1.95 lakh beneficiaries of social security pensions were verified. During the same period, 8,780 UDID cards were issued and 79,577 people were registered under the Vaya Vandana scheme. The Higher Education Department has issued e-vouchers for 17,938 scooters and distributed 12,050 scooters.
Valuable results, human sensations
The resolution of Gangaram’s land dispute in Khumansar (Jaisalmer), the opening of a road that has been closed for 30 years in Rawla (Sriganganagar), the resolution of a 30-year-old dispute between two elderly people in Dhanaura village of Dholpur, and Koyli Devi of Bhilwara getting access to a field are just a few examples. Lakhs of citizens got similar relief during the Pakhwada.
Strong steps towards’ Aapno Leading Rajasthan’
This fortnight brought about a major change on the ground due to the guidance and active participation of the Chief Minister. This initiative of the government has been successful in instilling confidence among the people that solving their problems is the priority of the government. Through these camps, the resolve of Antyodaya and Suraj was brought to the ground by solving the problems of women, youth, farmers, poor and workers.
Now the belief has been strengthened that no one will be left out of the mainstream of development.
