Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid a courtesy visit to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at Samatva Bhavan on Friday. Dr. Yadav warmly welcomed him with a bouquet, an angavastram, and a statue of Raja Bhoj. During the visit, Shri Yogi admired the scenic evening view of Bhopal’s iconic Big Lake (Bhojtal) from the residence office. Dr. Yadav shared insights into the lake’s historical significance, highlighting its centuries-old construction using advanced water storage techniques. Shri Yogi praised Bhopal’s natural beauty and rich heritage.
The two leaders also discussed the preparations for the upcoming Simhastha in Ujjain, scheduled for 2028. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav mentioned that a team from Madhya Pradesh has been sent to Prayagraj to study the ongoing Maha Kumbh arrangements and adopt best practices for Simhastha.
The meeting was attended by Uttar Pradesh’s Water Power and Flood Control Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Madhya Pradesh’s Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, and other senior representatives.
