In a groundbreaking move to boost AI adoption in India, Google has partnered with Reliance Intelligence to provide eligible Reliance Jio users free access to the Google AI Pro plan, featuring the latest Google Gemini AI, for 18 months.
Accelerating AI Access Across India
Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai expressed excitement over the collaboration, highlighting the benefits for Jio users. “Excited to partner with Reliance Jio to bring the best of Google AI to India. Eligible Jio users will receive our AI Pro plan at no extra cost for 18 months, including Gemini 2.5 Pro, 2TB of cloud storage, and our latest AI creation tools,” Pichai shared in a post on X.
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), through Reliance Intelligence, and Google officially announced this strategic partnership, aiming to democratize AI access and empower consumers, enterprises, and developers in line with Reliance’s “AI for All” vision.
The collaboration leverages Reliance’s unmatched scale, connectivity, and ecosystem reach with Google’s advanced AI technology to strengthen India’s digital infrastructure and pave the way for an AI-driven future.

The Gemini Pro AI plan for Jio users includes:

Easy Activation via MyJio App
Eligible users can activate the offer directly through the MyJio app. Initially, early access will be given to 18- to 25-year-old users on unlimited 5G plans, with nationwide availability for all Jio users to follow shortly.
Strengthening AI Infrastructure in India
As part of the collaboration, Reliance also announced a partnership with Google Cloud to provide broader access to advanced AI hardware accelerators, including Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). This initiative will allow organizations to train and deploy larger, more complex AI models and enable faster inferencing for demanding AI applications.
