The Haryana government has officially revoked the suspension of Dr. Girish Nagpal, the Agriculture Director of Jind, and cleared him of all allegations. Dr. Nagpal had faced suspension following a raid at a pesticide manufacturing unit in Safidon, Jind, where illegal online sales were reported.
Government Revokes Suspension After Thorough Investigation
The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Haryana, reinstated Dr. Girish Nagpal after two investigation committees, headed by Additional Directors Rohtash Singh and Rajendra Singh Solanki, found no substantial evidence against him. The committees noted that the complainant failed to present any proof during the investigation, leading to a clean chit for the Agriculture Director.

Dr. Nagpal had also approached the Haryana High Court challenging his suspension, following which a stay was granted on the suspension order. The High Court had asked the Haryana government for a detailed explanation regarding the circumstances and basis of the suspension.
Details of the Case and Investigations
Dr. Nagpal had conducted a raid at the pesticide production unit in Safidon after receiving a complaint. Subsequently, the Chairman of the Haryana Public Service Commission, Shravan Garg, filed allegations of corruption against him with the Chief Minister. However, during investigations conducted in August and December 2024, the committees repeatedly asked the complainant to present evidence, which never materialized.
Following the findings of both committees, the Principal Secretary of the Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Pankaj Agrawal, officially revoked Dr. Nagpal’s suspension and cleared him of all charges.
High Court Proceedings
During the hearing on November 13, the High Court gave the Haryana government a final opportunity to submit its reply regarding the suspension. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for March 19, during which the state government must provide a detailed response.
