Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma and Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa promote road safety at Amar Jawan Jyoti, Jaipur, launching a new campaign, public pledge, and awareness rally to ensure responsible driving and honor Good Samaritans.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, along with Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa, spearheaded a state-level road safety initiative at Amar Jawan Jyoti in Jaipur. During the event, officials unveiled a new campaign poster and led citizens in taking a public pledge to ensure safer driving practices across the state.
The road safety pledge encouraged participants to strictly follow traffic rules, drive responsibly, and adopt precautionary measures to safeguard themselves and others on the road. Citizens attending the ceremony joined the CM in repeating the pledge, reinforcing their commitment to accident-free driving.
A key highlight of the event was the launch of a road safety poster emphasizing the “6 E’s”: Education, Engagement, Emergency care, Enforcement, Engineering, and Evaluation. The campaign aims to raise awareness about personal safety and the importance of assisting accident victims during emergencies.

The ceremony also honored local heroes who have actively saved lives in road incidents. Among the recognized individuals were Sandeep Gupta, credited with saving 108 lives by converting his Fortuner into an emergency response vehicle, and Nitesh Yadav, who aided an injured person after witnessing an accident late at night.
To promote night-time road safety, DCM Premchand Bairwa demonstrated the use of reflective tape on vehicles to enhance visibility and minimize accidents. He also distributed helmets to participants, highlighting the importance of protective gear.
The event concluded with a large safety awareness rally featuring 500 auto-rickshaws and support vehicles. Flagged off by CM Sharma, the rally aimed to educate the public on key traffic regulations, including adherence to speed limits, traffic signals, avoiding overloading, and the dangers of mobile phone use while driving.
This state-level initiative underscores Rajasthan’s commitment to enhancing road safety, recognizing Good Samaritans, and fostering a culture of responsible driving across the state.
