Gold and Silver prices rebound on MCX after Monday’s crash. Check today’s city-wise rates for Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. Gold ₹1,36,350, Silver ₹2,40,000.

After a sharp decline on Monday, gold and silver futures rebounded on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Strong profit booking earlier had triggered the drop, but investors saw a recovery in both precious metals in today’s trade.

Gold Prices Today on MCX

The gold February 5 contract opened with a gain of Rs 1,058 at Rs 1,36,000 per 10 grams, up from the previous close of Rs 1,34,942. During intraday trading, gold touched a high of Rs 1,36,044. At the time of writing, the February contract was trading at Rs 1,35,799, up Rs 857 or 0.64 percent.

Meanwhile, the April 2026 gold contract rose by Rs 1,143 or 0.83 percent to trade at Rs 1,39,637 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 2,341 lots. Analysts attribute the rebound to renewed investor interest and correction after Monday’s profit booking.

Silver Prices Today on MCX

Silver also recovered sharply in today’s session. The March 5, 2026 contract opened at Rs 2,31,100 per kg, up Rs 6,671 from Monday’s close of Rs 2,24,429. During trading, silver hit a high of Rs 2,36,907 per kg and was last seen at Rs 2,33,499, gaining Rs 9,070 or 4.04 percent.

Experts suggest that silver’s strong bounce was driven by global market cues and increased buying demand after Monday’s correction.

Gold Prices in International Markets

On the international front, COMEX gold gained 0.85 percent, trading at around USD 4,380.7 per troy ounce. However, earlier in the day, the spot price stood at USD 4,363.86 per ounce, down USD 170.72 or 3.77 percent. Analysts continue to monitor global factors, including currency fluctuations and geopolitical developments, which are influencing gold and silver prices worldwide.
