AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj accuses IAS officers of colluding in illegal constructions in Delhi, exposes Rekha Gupta government over private school fee act. Full details here.
Saurabh Bhardwaj, the Delhi state president of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has raised serious allegations against IAS officers regarding illegal constructions in the national capital. According to Bhardwaj, illegal buildings are constructed with the collusion of senior officers, while the action is usually taken against junior officials.
Illegal Constructions in Delhi: Who is Responsible?
Bhardwaj cited the example of an illegal building in Chirag Delhi, claiming that the silence of the Deputy Commissioner of the South Zone exposes the flaws in the entire administrative system. He recalled that in 2021, a substandard building in Chirag Delhi had tilted due to poor construction material, posing a major risk to residents. Although the building was eventually demolished under public pressure, no action was taken against the builder. Alarmingly, Bhardwaj claims that the same builder is constructing a new building at the same location in 2025, yet the administration remains inactive.
The AAP leader also stated that whenever a building collapses causing loss of life, junior engineers (JEs) are suspended to close the case, while the actual senior IAS officers responsible are shielded by the system.

AAP Criticizes Rekha Gupta Government Over Private School Fee Act
Bhardwaj further criticized the BJP-led Delhi government under CM Rekha Gupta over the Private School Fee Control Act. He said that the act was exposed in Delhi High Court as misleading and showy. On Monday, the court imposed a stay on the committee formed to control fees in private schools involving parents, making it clear that the law was deceptive.
According to Bhardwaj, the BJP government introduced the law to mislead middle-class parents, while it actually favored private school owners. Last week, the government itself admitted in the Supreme Court that the law would not apply to fee hikes made by private schools for the academic session 2025-26. This, he argued, revealed the collusion between the government and private school management. Bhardwaj accused the government of drafting the law secretly without consulting parents or experts and presenting it as a measure for public welfare.
