Haryana government reopens construction workers’ registration portal to ensure timely welfare benefits and improve transparency in the system.
The Haryana Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare and social security of construction workers across the state. In a significant step toward ensuring timely access to welfare schemes, the Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has reopened the long-pending construction workers’ registration portal.
The decision aims to streamline the registration process so that genuine and eligible workers can seamlessly avail themselves of various government welfare benefits without unnecessary delays.
According to officials, the Construction Workers’ Registration Portal had been under review following several complaints and reports of irregularities in the earlier registration system. After a detailed examination, the government has now introduced a revised and more robust mechanism to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the registration process.

State Labour Minister Anil Vij stated that the government remains fully dedicated to safeguarding the interests of construction workers. He emphasized that the updated system has been designed to prevent misuse while ensuring that only authentic beneficiaries are registered and supported under welfare schemes.
“After investigating earlier complaints and irregularities, the registration process has now been restarted with an improved and more secure framework,” said Anil Vij.
The reopening of the Construction Workers’ Registration Portal is expected to benefit thousands of construction workers who have been waiting for registration for a long time. It will also help in faster implementation of welfare schemes related to health, education, financial assistance, and social security benefits.
With this move, the Haryana Government aims to strengthen its welfare delivery system and ensure that no eligible worker is left out of essential government support programs.
