Arvind Kejriwal urged PM Narendra Modi to speak with protesting students during the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march over alleged exam irregularities.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has extended his support to students participating in the ‘Sansad Chalo’ protest over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations. In a video message shared on social media, the former Delhi Chief Minister appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to engage in dialogue with the protesting students rather than responding with force.

Arvind Kejriwal Voices Support for Students

Speaking through a self-recorded video, Kejriwal said he was currently in Punjab but had been closely following the developments in the national capital through social media. He claimed that large numbers of students had gathered at Connaught Place, Janpath and Jantar Mantar, demanding reforms in the examination system.

According to Kejriwal, the participation of students from different parts of the country reflects growing concern over the credibility of competitive examinations.

Calls for Dialogue Over Confrontation

The AAP leader alleged that authorities were trying to stop protesters from reaching Parliament and criticised reports of force being used against demonstrators.

He urged the Prime Minister to directly interact with the students and address their grievances through discussion instead of confrontation. Kejriwal said that listening to the concerns of young people would be a more constructive way to resolve the issue.

Arvind Kejriwal said that thousands of students dedicate years of hard work to prepare for competitive examinations with the hope of securing a better future.

Referring to allegations of paper leaks and examination irregularities, he said such incidents undermine the efforts of deserving candidates and affect public confidence in the recruitment process. He expressed solidarity with students demanding a fair and transparent examination system.

Security Tightened Around Parliament

Amid the ongoing ‘Sansad Chalo’ protest and the commencement of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, security arrangements in the national capital were strengthened. Additional security personnel were deployed around Parliament and nearby areas to maintain law and order.

Meanwhile, representatives associated with the protest indicated their willingness to hold discussions with the government regarding examination reforms and other related demands.
