In a compassionate move towards empowering persons with disabilities, the Haryana Government has approved the supply of advanced bionic artificial limbs for a specially-abled child from Panipat. The modern prosthetic support, estimated to cost around ₹35 lakh, will help the child regain greater independence and improve quality of life.
The child had lost both hands and one leg in a tragic electric shock accident. Considering the medical needs and future rehabilitation requirements of the child, the state government has decided to provide technologically advanced artificial limbs.

Approval Granted in HMSCL Board Meeting
The decision was taken during the meeting of the Board of Directors of Haryana Medical Services Corporation Limited (HMSCL), chaired by Dr. Sumita Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Haryana.
During the meeting, officials discussed the requirement of advanced prosthetic assistance and approved the proposal to provide bionic artificial limbs to the child.
