Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 14 public welfare development projects worth over ₹995 crore in Gorakhpur. The projects include a 6-lane road connecting Transport Nagar to Padleganj and a 4-lane flyover linking Deoria Bypass, aimed at strengthening the city’s transport infrastructure and accelerating economic growth.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that modern infrastructure is the backbone of progress, adding that faster and more efficient transportation directly contributes to economic development, investment, employment, and prosperity.
Infrastructure to Accelerate Development
CM Yogi Adityanath stated that improved connectivity not only reduces travel time but also enhances trade, industrial activities, and public convenience. According to him, every new road, bridge, and flyover creates opportunities for faster urban expansion and balanced regional development.
He emphasized that a well-developed transport network plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for citizens while supporting long-term economic growth.

Major Connectivity Projects for Gorakhpur
Among the key projects inaugurated are the 6-lane corridor from Transport Nagar to Padleganj and the 4-lane flyover connecting Deoria Bypass, both expected to ease traffic congestion and improve mobility across Gorakhpur.
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said these projects have been designed to meet future infrastructure demands while providing smoother connectivity for commuters, businesses, and logistics.
Strengthening the Vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’
Highlighting the broader vision behind the projects, CM Yogi said the new infrastructure will contribute significantly to the national goal of building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
