Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated the Economic Times Rajasthan Water Conclave 2026 in Jaipur on Friday, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to strengthening water security through modern technology, sustainable water management and efficient conservation practices.
Addressing policymakers, industry experts, water management professionals and other distinguished participants, the Chief Minister said Rajasthan is entering a new era of water security through visionary planning and coordinated efforts.
Major Water Projects Strengthening Rajasthan
Bhajanlal Sharma credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for accelerating key water initiatives that have significantly strengthened Rajasthan’s long-term water security.
He highlighted the Ram Jal Setu Link Project, the historic Yamuna Water Agreement, and the Narmada Award Agreement as transformative milestones that will improve water availability and support the state’s long-term development.
According to the Chief Minister, these initiatives are laying a strong foundation for sustainable water resource management across Rajasthan.

Every Drop of Water Matters
Emphasising the importance of water conservation, Sharma said every drop of water must be preserved through scientific planning and the adoption of advanced technologies.
He noted that the state government is focusing on efficient water distribution, rainwater harvesting, improved irrigation systems and modern water management practices to ensure optimal utilisation of available resources.
Har Ghar Jal Remains a Core Priority
The Chief Minister said providing safe and reliable drinking water to every household remains one of the government’s highest priorities.
He added that various infrastructure projects are being implemented to strengthen water supply systems in both rural and urban areas while ensuring sustainable management of water resources for future generations.

Bhajanlal Sharma urged citizens, experts, government agencies and private stakeholders to work together in building a water-rich and self-reliant Rajasthan.

The event was attended by Water Resources Minister Suresh Rawat, public representatives, senior officials, policy experts and eminent guests from across the country, who discussed innovative solutions for strengthening Rajasthan’s water infrastructure and conservation efforts.
