Dr. Balbir Singh distributed nearly ₹1 crore in development grants under the Rangla Punjab Campaign to boost infrastructure in Patiala Rural villages.
Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr. Balbir Singh on Thursday distributed development grant cheques worth nearly ₹1 crore under the Rangla Punjab Campaign to support infrastructure projects across the Patiala Rural Assembly constituency.
The grants were provided for development works in Aman Vihar, Career Enclave, Jassowal, Bakhshiwala, Sibrau, Kishangarh, and Allowal, with the objective of strengthening rural infrastructure and improving the quality of life for local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Balbir Singh said the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government is committed to ensuring that development reaches every village and every town in the state. He emphasized that the government is prioritizing grassroots development by providing timely financial assistance for projects that directly benefit local communities.

The minister stated that the funds will be utilized for various public welfare and infrastructure projects based on the needs of each village. These include improvements in roads, drainage systems, sanitation, public facilities, and other essential civic amenities.
Dr. Balbir Singh said the Rangla Punjab Campaign reflects the government’s vision of creating modern, well-developed villages through continuous investment in infrastructure. He added that the initiative is helping accelerate development works while ensuring that public needs are addressed on priority.
He also reiterated that fulfilling commitments made to the people remains a key focus of the Punjab Government. According to the minister, development activities are progressing steadily across the state, with special attention being given to rural areas to ensure balanced and inclusive growth.
The Cabinet Minister expressed confidence that the newly distributed grants would give fresh momentum to ongoing development projects and contribute significantly to the overall progress of the Patiala Rural constituency.
