AAP Gujarat leader Manoj Sorathiya attacks BJP over alleged abusive remarks against a farmer by a Junagadh BJP MLA.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Gujarat organisational general secretary Manoj Sorathiya has launched a sharp attack on the BJP over an alleged incident involving the use of abusive language against a farmer by a BJP legislator in Junagadh.
Sorathiya alleged that a BJP MLA from Junagadh used offensive language while speaking to a farmer and questioned the conduct of elected representatives towards farmers and ordinary citizens.
Manoj Sorathiya Questions BJP MLA’s Conduct
Speaking on the issue, Sorathiya referred to the alleged remarks made by the legislator and said that the incident reflected what he described as an attitude of arrogance among sections of the BJP leadership.
He questioned how a public representative could allegedly speak to a farmer in such a manner and argued that elected representatives have a responsibility to respect citizens, particularly those associated with agriculture.
Sorathiya also referred to the MLA as Bhagwanji, while criticising the alleged use of abusive language during the interaction.
AAP Leader Takes Aim at BJP Leadership
Sorathiya further criticised BJP leaders over what he described as a contradiction between public appeals for respectful conduct and the alleged behaviour of some party representatives.
He referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advice against using abusive language and claimed that such messages were not being followed by BJP leaders and workers.

These remarks form part of Sorathiya’s political criticism of the BJP and its leadership.
Farmers’ Dignity Becomes Political Flashpoint
The AAP leader said the alleged treatment of Gujarat farmers raises questions about how ordinary citizens are viewed by those holding political power.
According to Sorathiya, farmers deserve dignity and respect, regardless of their political views or differences with elected representatives. He argued that incidents involving alleged verbal abuse should not be ignored because they can affect public trust in political institutions.
The issue has consequently become another point of political confrontation between the AAP and BJP in Gujarat.
Sorathiya Blames Long-Term Power for Alleged Arrogance
Sorathiya also alleged that the BJP’s prolonged tenure in power has contributed to a sense of arrogance among some of its leaders.
He questioned how long citizens should tolerate what he described as disrespectful behaviour from political representatives and urged people to carefully assess the conduct of leaders.
AAP Leader Calls for Respect for Farmers and Senior Citizens
Expanding his criticism beyond the alleged farmer incident, Sorathiya said public representatives should respect farmers, students, women and senior citizens.
He argued that people who fail to respect different sections of society should be held accountable through democratic means.
Sorathiya appealed to Gujarat’s citizens to recognise such conduct and make informed political choices in the future.
The allegations and remarks have added to the ongoing political debate in Gujarat, with the AAP targeting the BJP over the alleged incident involving a farmer and raising broader questions about public accountability and the conduct of elected representatives.
