Aman Arora highlights Ludhiana’s ₹65 crore Haibowal CBG plant, set to process 300 tonnes of cow dung daily and produce 5 tonnes of biogas.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann laid the foundation stone for a Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Haibowal, Ludhiana, marking a significant step towards scientific dairy waste management and cleaner energy production in the city.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora congratulated the residents of the area on the multi-purpose project and highlighted its potential to address two important local concerns — the management of dairy waste and the cleanliness of the Budha Dariya.
₹65 Crore Project to Process 300 Tonnes of Cow Dung Daily
The CBG plant is being developed at an estimated cost of ₹65 crore. Once operational, the facility will have the capacity to process around 300 tonnes of cow dung every day.
The project will convert dairy waste into useful energy, with an estimated production of nearly 5 tonnes of biogas daily. This approach can help turn organic waste into a productive resource while supporting cleaner energy solutions.

Support for Dairy Owners
