Gujarat CNG prices have increased by ₹3.75, prompting AAP leader Yogesh Jadavani to demand an immediate rollback and relief for consumers.
The Gujarat CNG price hike has triggered criticism from the Aam Aadmi Party, with state spokesperson Yogesh Jadavani questioning the latest increase and urging the government to withdraw it immediately.
According to Jadavani, CNG prices in Gujarat have increased by ₹3.75, taking the reported price to ₹88.75. He claimed that five years ago, CNG was available at around ₹58, and alleged that prices have been increased 13 times during this period.
Yogesh Jadavani Raises Concern Over Rising Fuel Costs
Speaking through a video message, AAP Gujarat spokesperson Yogesh Jadavani said the Gujarat CNG price hike would put additional pressure on small traders, middle-class families and people dependent on auto-rickshaws for their livelihoods.
He argued that higher CNG costs could affect auto-rickshaw operators because fuel is a major part of their daily operating expenses. According to him, increased fuel costs could eventually put pressure on passengers as well if operators raise fares.
AAP Questions Repeated Price Increases
Jadavani criticised the central government over what he described as repeated increases in prices. He referred to the BJP’s earlier messaging on controlling inflation and argued that consumers are now facing higher costs across several areas.
The AAP leader said the Gujarat CNG price hike comes at a time when many families are already dealing with rising household expenses, education costs and other financial pressures.
He also appealed to the government to reduce unnecessary expenditure and focus on controlling costs.
Small Businesses and Middle-Class Families Under Pressure
Jadavani claimed that small businesses and industries are facing increased competition and financial difficulties. He said rising operating expenses make it harder for small entrepreneurs to manage their businesses and maintain employment.

According to him, another increase in CNG prices could create additional difficulties for people who use CNG vehicles for both personal and professional purposes.
The AAP spokesperson also linked the issue to the wider concern of affordability, saying that higher transportation costs can have an indirect impact on household budgets.
Demand to Roll Back the Price Increase
The Gujarat CNG price hike has led the Aam Aadmi Party to demand an immediate rollback of the increase. Jadavani urged the government to reconsider the decision and provide relief to consumers.
He said the government should focus on reducing expenses and ensuring that people are not burdened with additional costs at a time when many families and small businesses are already under financial pressure.
AAP Seeks Relief for Consumers
The Gujarat CNG price hike has become a point of political criticism in the state, with AAP arguing that the additional fuel cost could affect commuters, auto-rickshaw drivers and small businesses.
Jadavani reiterated that the party wants the latest price increase to be withdrawn with immediate effect. He said reducing the financial burden on ordinary consumers should be a priority.
The Gujarat CNG price hike debate is likely to remain linked to the broader discussion around fuel prices, transportation costs and the impact of rising expenses on middle-class households and small businesses.
