In view of the major objectives of increasing the ground water level and water conservation in the state, the initiative of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma will be carried out Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan – Jan Abhiyan across the state from 5th to 20th June. The campaign will be launched from June 5 on the auspicious occasion of World Environment Day and Ganga Dussehra. In this campaign, the sacred work of environmental protection rooted in our glorious culture will be organised on a large scale and the general public will also be made aware of the importance of the environment. So that this campaign can become a mass movement.
As part of Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan – Jan Abhiyan, Shri Sharma will perform Shramdaan at Gopalgarh village near Mori on Ramgarh Dam (Jamwaramgarh) in Jaipur on 5th June morning and participate in Amritam Jalam Abhiyan programme. Later, the Chief Minister will address a state-level workshop to be held at Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) on the occasion of World Environment Day.
After this, the Chief Minister will visit Gohata in Bundi to inspect the aqueduct being constructed under the Ramjal Setu Link Project (Modified Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Project). From here, the Chief Minister will reach the Chambal Ghat venue at Keshoraypatan (Bundi) where he will take part in Pujan (Ganga Lahari), Chunri Mahotsav and Kalash Yatra. Sharma will also pay obeisance at the Keshoraypatan temple.
The Chief Minister will reach Bharatpur in the evening where he will take part in special puja and Mahabhog at Ganga Madir, Kalash Yatra, distribution of prasad and Gangajal and Tulsi plant distribution programme. After this, the Chief Minister will also light a lamp at Sujanganga near Manasa Mata Temple.
