Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the case related to the Ansal Group in Lucknow and directed to immediately register an FIR. He said that protecting the interest of home buyers is the priority of the government and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
At a review meeting of the Housing and Urban Planning Department at his official residence, CM Yogi Adityanath said that the government will not tolerate the fraud committed by the Ansal Group. He directed to ensure protection of interests of all affected people and also asked the concerned authorities to take action.
Apart from this, he also directed to register FIRs in cases related to Ansal Group in other districts of the state. He also asked to constitute a committee of LDA and victim buyers so that solid evidence can be presented in the court and the accused can be punished.
In the meeting, the officials apprised CM Yogi Adityanath that the NCLT had given an ex-parte order against the Lucknow Development Authority and the Housing Department. On this, the Chief Minister asked to file an appeal in the public interest.
He directed the Housing and Urban Planning Department to expedite the progress of Kanpur, Lucknow and Agra Metro projects. He also directed to set up 100 new townships, digitization of fast track processes, disposal of unencumbered properties and land for 100 hotels and 100 hospitals to take UP’s economy to one trillion dollars.
CM Yogi Adityanath talked about maintaining the quality of construction works and preventing unplanned urbanization. He suggested providing facilities like parks, gyms in slums and building high-rise buildings as per requirement.
He directed to implement GIS-based Mahayojana by 2025 and expedite the process of land acquisition including Agra Inner Ring Road. He also directed to speed up urban expansion and development works in Jhansi, Bareilly, Aligarh, Gorakhpur, Bulandshahr, Chitrakoot and Agra.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also stressed on the early completion of the construction works of the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre in Lucknow. He directed the development authorities to work proactively to ensure planned development in the state and to find solutions to the problems of uncontrolled expansion.
