According to details cited in a police complaint, around eight to 10 people reached the residence and introduced themselves as CBI personnel. They allegedly attempted to enter the property but failed to provide satisfactory proof of their identities or a legitimate search warrant.

The Delhi fake CBI raid reportedly continued as the group remained outside the house for nearly one and a half hours. The woman inside the residence allegedly faced pressure and threats to open the gate but stood her ground.

Neighbours demand search warrant
As more people arrived, neighbours reportedly questioned the alleged officials and asked them to show the documents authorising the search. When the group was asked to provide a copy of the notice, they allegedly claimed that the document was inside their vehicle.
The group then reportedly left the spot, saying they would return with the required paperwork. The family, meanwhile, contacted the police through emergency helpline 112.
Suspects allegedly wore CBI insignia
The Delhi fake CBI raid case has raised concerns because the suspected impostors allegedly appeared prepared to make their claims look genuine. According to the complaint, the individuals were wearing clothing carrying the CBI insignia and had identity cards that allegedly identified them as agency officials.

A purported notice bearing the name and signature of the CBI director was also reportedly sent to the complainant’s father through WhatsApp. The family alleged that the document was fabricated and intended to make the group’s claims appear official.
Family saves evidence before WhatsApp message disappears
The family reportedly took a screenshot of the WhatsApp notice before it was deleted. The screenshot was subsequently handed over to the police along with the complaint.
The alleged use of fake official documents has added another serious dimension to the Delhi fake CBI raid investigation. Police are examining the material submitted by the family to determine who created and circulated the purported notice.
CCTV footage under police scrutiny
