Initiatives Driving TB-Free Panchayats
The state’s Haryana TB Elimination initiative includes widespread screening campaigns in rural areas, provision of free medicines, and awareness programs to educate communities about TB prevention and treatment. These efforts have proven effective in reducing new TB cases and improving early detection.
Strengthening Healthcare Infrastructure
As part of the TB elimination drive, Haryana has enhanced hospital infrastructure, increased the number of beds, and implemented digital monitoring systems for patient follow-ups. Community health centers and primary care facilities have also been strengthened to manage TB cases efficiently, reducing pressure on major hospitals.
Future Plans for Haryana TB Elimination
Dr. Mishra emphasized that Haryana aims to declare more gram panchayats TB-free in the coming years. “Through modern technology, dedicated healthcare staff, and community participation, we plan to ensure that every district progresses toward a TB-free status.
