Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, participated in the Parivartan Yatra in North 24 Pargana, West Bengal, on Thursday, ahead of the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections 2026. The public rally marked the official launch of the BJP’s campaign in the state, drawing a large crowd of supporters.
During the Parivartan Yatra, Dhami criticized the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, stating that the people of Bengal have endured years of “oppression, fear, and corruption.” Speaking to ANI, Dhami said, “The people of Bengal are ready for political change. The BJP is reaching every village through its outreach program to bring about development and reform.”

Dhami highlighted problems related to illegal immigration and said, “Illegal immigrants have been settled to influence votes. The Election Commission’s current filtering process is causing concern for the ruling government.”

The campaign will cover over 5,000 kilometers across West Bengal, including 63 major rallies and 282 smaller public meetings. Dhami emphasized that the BJP aims to bring progress to the state and ensure law and order, while empowering citizens through better governance.
