CM Bhajan Lal Sharma : The process of e-auction of 12 blocks of major minerals including lead, zinc, iron ore, limestone, fluorite, copper in the state has been started. Principal Secretary Mines, Geology and Petroleum Shri T. Ravikant informed that out of these 12 blocks, e-auction for mining lease of 1 iron ore and 3 limestone blocks and composite license of 8 blocks is being done through MSTC portal of Central Government. In the last financial year, Rajasthan has topped the country by auctioning the highest number of 34 major mineral blocks, while this year also Rajasthan is moving ahead with the target of auctioning the highest number of major mineral blocks.
Shri T. Ravikant said that under the leadership of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, Rajasthan has become number one in the entire country in the block auction of Major Minerals. So far, 8 Major Mineral Blocks have been successfully auctioned in the first quarter of the year. While one block was auctioned on July 2, the auction process for other blocks is in progress. Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma has been emphasizing in the meetings held from time to time to make the state a leading state in the mining sector in the entire country. In view of this, emphasis is being laid on new mineral policy, MSEND policy as well as simplification of procedures and mineral exploration, mining and block auction.
Ravikant informed that limestone blocks of Khabia, Khabia East and Parevar in Jaisalmer and iron block of Bagawas in Kotputli-Behror are being auctioned for mining lease. Fluorite at Chatwara in Jalore, Copper-Led-Zinc at West Samodi in Bhilwara, Manganese at Gadaria in Banswara, Lead-Zinc at Barwara Sawaimadhopur in Chauth, Copper Associated Gold at Shahpura in Beawar, Copper at Kurtiyan in Beawar, Minerals at Kajlodia Sultangarh in Bhilwara and Emerald at Mojawaton Ka Gudha in Rajsamand will be e-auctioned for Composite License.
Director Mines Deepak Tanwar informed that the tender notice for auction of these 12 blocks of Major Mineral has been issued on 25th June through Central Government e-portal MSTC. Tender documents can be obtained till July 10. The last date for submission of bids is July 30.
Shri Tanwar informed that necessary information related to these 12 major mineral blocks and their auction is available on the departmental website and Government of India’s SMTC e-portal.
