On February 14, 2025, the Office of the Chief Controller of Accounts (CCA) at the Ministry of Mines hosted a workshop chaired by the CCA. The session offered valuable insights into the features and benefits of e-Bill, a digital platform designed to simplify the process of generating, processing, and validating bills. The focus was on educating stakeholders about the practical advantages of e-Bill in improving efficiency and transparency in billing. The workshop was attended by Ministry officials, vendors, and other relevant stakeholders, with 26 participants present in person and 20 more joining through video conference.
A detailed demonstration was held on how to generate, submit, and track e-Bills through the platform. The session covered the steps involved in initiating and creating an e-Bill, submitting and validating the bill, and monitoring the approval process via the dashboard.
The session highlighted the benefits of the e-Bill system, focusing on its ability to simplify and speed up the bill submission and approval process. Additional advantages discussed included reducing the time needed to generate and process bills, minimizing payment delays, enabling bill tracking, reducing reliance on physical paperwork, and allowing access to bills and related documents from anywhere, thereby improving convenience for all parties involved.
The CCA, Ministry of Mines stressed the importance of widespread adoption of the e-Bill system to ensure smooth implementation across all relevant sectors. The office also pledged to offer support and guidance to users transitioning to the digital billing platform.
The workshop ended with attendees expressing positive feedback, feeling confident in the efficiency and practicality of the e-Bill system.
