CM Pushkar Singh Dhami gave necessary instructions to the officers in a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday. He said that those employees should be identified who are not discharging their duties properly and action should be taken against such employees as per rules for compulsory retirement.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed to take strict action against those encroaching upon government land and illegal occupation of personal properties. Apart from this, he asked to conduct special drives for the arrest of criminals wanted in various crimes.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed to launch an intensive drive to prevent food adulteration and control power theft in view of the festivals, besides taking strict action against the culprits. The Chief Minister directed all the concerned departments to make continuous efforts to make the ‘Drugs Free Uttarakhand’ campaign effective. He asked the police to conduct regular checking at the state borders and prepare a list of criminals involved in the drug trade under the NDPS Act and take strict action against them.
Instructions were given to make special efforts to improve traffic management and relieve citizens from the problem of traffic jams. The police have also been asked to intensify night patrolling.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami stressed on making more efforts to connect the youth with employment and self-employment. He directed to conduct training and skill development programmes for the local people in areas like electricians, carpenters, barbers and plumbers.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Inspector General of Police Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary, Secretary of the Public Security Division of Home Ministry Mostafa Kamal Uddin and Additional IGP (admin) Mokhlesur Rahman addressed the function.
