CM Bhajan Lal Sharma congratulated the people of the country on the passage of the ‘Waqf (Amendment) Bill-2025’ by a majority in both the Houses of Parliament. He said that this Bill is going to realize Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas “and is a historic initiative towards strengthening equality, transparency and good governance in the country. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for this.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that this amendment was necessary to end the years-old irregularities and opaqueness associated with Waqf properties. This law will bring transparency, accountability and fairness in the administration of Waqf and will also help in empowering the needy. He also said that this will protect the rights of all citizens and eliminate any undue privilege or discrimination.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the Modi government has taken important decisions in the interest of all sections – especially the poor and backward Muslim community – without any discrimination. Ending triple talaq and giving justice to Muslim women is a great example of this.
