In a candid interview with Zoom, Sudhanshu shared his thoughts on working with Apoorva Mukhija, a fellow contestant on The Traitors, and didn’t hold back when it came to addressing what he believes is a concerning pattern in the younger generation of entertainers.
“Aapki zubaan kharab hai”
While acknowledging that Apoorva Mukhija is “a very good kid” with a “kind heart,” Sudhanshu took issue with the language she used during the show.
“These kids don’t understand ki agar aapki zubaan kharab hai, toh aapki saari acchaiyaan doob jaati hai,” Sudhanshu said. “(If your language is bad, all your goodness gets overshadowed). Then no one cares if your heart is in the right place.”
The actor went on to express concern about how profanity and double standards have become normalized among Gen Z performers, particularly when they are in the public eye.
“Especially when you’re on camera, and 20 crore people are watching you,” he added. “They abuse like it’s second nature. They think it’s cool because they’re Gen Z.”
On Gen Z and Cultural Disconnect
Sudhanshu expressed disappointment in what he perceives as a growing disconnect between the younger generation and traditional values, particularly in how they communicate and present themselves.
“This new generation is lost… there’s no sense of the culture they belong to,” he said. “How someone behaves on-camera versus behind someone’s back is so different.”
