Farhan Akhtar Backs Raanjhanaa Director Over AI-Edited Ending Controversy
Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has publicly come out in support of Raanjhanaa director Anand L Rai, following controversy surrounding the film’s AI-altered ending. Speaking at the teaser launch of his upcoming movie 120 Bahadur, Farhan addressed the issue directly, stating that his loyalty lies firmly with the original creator of the film.

“I will always stand with the creator of the film. And if the creator of the film was unhappy about his or her work being changed, I will always support the creator. So that’s where my loyalty lies,” Farhan Akhtar said, making his stance clear while also noting that he wasn’t fully aware of all the details surrounding the situation.
The controversy reportedly involves the film’s ending being modified using artificial intelligence without proper consent from the filmmaker, sparking discussions about creative rights and ethical boundaries in AI use.
“I agree with Farhan,” Ritesh said. “AI is something we need to embrace and use the right way. But I absolutely agree with the fact that you can’t do it without the consent of the filmmaker or actors involved. If that’s missing, it’s just not cool.
