The Punjab government has announced a ₹1,300 crore Punjab Horticulture Project aimed at modernising the state’s horticulture sector and increasing farmers’ income. The initiative, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), will focus on climate-resilient farming, improved infrastructure, quality planting material, and the adoption of advanced agricultural technologies.
The project aims to encourage farmers to diversify their crops and reduce their dependence on traditional farming practices.

The Punjab Horticulture Project is designed to promote the cultivation of high-value horticultural crops, creating new income opportunities for farmers across the state.
