Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday reviewed the activities of eight Rajasthan Foundation chapters and discussed ways to strengthen engagement with the state’s diaspora. The meeting focused on investment opportunities, infrastructure development, cultural initiatives and social activities connected with Rajasthan.
Representatives from Rajasthan Foundation chapters in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Doha, Pune, Surat, Munich, Kuwait and Muscat participated in the interaction.
The Rajasthan Foundation chapters serve as a link between people from Rajasthan living in India and abroad and the state government. During the meeting, the Chief Minister encouraged Pravasi Rajasthanis to explore investment opportunities in the state.
CM Invites Pravasi Rajasthanis to Invest in Rajasthan
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said the state government is working to improve infrastructure and establish a favourable environment for industries and investors.
He highlighted ongoing work in areas such as water, power and roads, stating that improved infrastructure would help expand facilities and support investment activity across the state.
Sharma also emphasised efforts to simplify processes for businesses and create better conditions for industrial development.
The Chief Minister’s invitation to the diaspora was aimed at encouraging Rajasthanis living outside the state to contribute to its economic growth through investment and other initiatives.
Focus on Development Along With Heritage Conservation
During the meeting, Sharma also discussed Rajasthan’s cultural identity and historical heritage. He said Rajasthanis living across different parts of the world are helping promote the state’s traditions, culture and heritage.
He referred to the ‘Karmabhoomi Se Matribhoomi’ campaign, which seeks to strengthen the connection between people who have moved away from Rajasthan and their native places.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the conservation of historic properties in Shekhawati. According to the government, 662 historic havelis have been identified for conservation under the principle of ‘Development as well as Heritage’.
Rajasthan Foundation to Strengthen Global Connect
Sharma said the Rajasthan Foundation chapters play an important role in maintaining communication between the state and Rajasthanis living in other parts of the country and overseas.
He directed officials to organise meetings of the chapters regularly so that suggestions, experiences and ideas from the diaspora can be shared with the state government.
The Chief Minister also instructed that the Youth Wing and Women Wing of the Rajasthan Foundation be made operational.

40 Rajasthan Foundation Chapters Across India and Abroad
Rajasthan Foundation currently has 40 chapters across India and overseas locations. The latest interaction was conducted through video conferencing with representatives of eight chapters as part of the first phase of the engagement.
The state government said the Chief Minister reviews the progress of all Rajasthan Foundation chapters every month, particularly their work related to investment, cultural programmes and social initiatives.
This regular review is intended to ensure greater coordination between the chapters and the state government.
Investment and Infrastructure Remain Key Priorities
The government has been highlighting infrastructure development as an important component of Rajasthan’s investment strategy. During the meeting, Sharma reiterated that improved connectivity and facilities in water, electricity and roads would help create a stronger ecosystem for businesses.
The government also wants the state’s diaspora to play a larger role in investment and development initiatives.
The interaction with the Rajasthan Foundation chapters provided an opportunity to discuss both economic opportunities and ways to preserve Rajasthan’s cultural heritage.
Officials Attend the Meeting
Additional Chief Secretary Shikhar Agrawal and officials from the concerned departments were present during the meeting.
The government is expected to continue engaging with Rajasthan Foundation chapters to gather suggestions from the diaspora and promote investment, cultural programmes and social initiatives.
With 40 chapters operating across India and abroad, the Rajasthan Foundation chapters are expected to remain an important platform for connecting the Rajasthan government with the state’s diaspora community.
