Bigg Boss 19 maker Deepak Dhar responds to Tanya Mittal and Malti Chahar’s post-finale allegations, confirming the show is completely unscripted inside and outside the house.
Even after the grand finale of Bigg Boss 19, the reality show continues to stir conversations, with former contestants raising questions about its authenticity. Recently, Tanya Mittal and Malti Chahar made headlines by sharing allegations about scripted interference and creative instructions during their stint. Addressing these claims, Bigg Boss 19 creative head Deepak Dhar has categorically denied any scripting, stating that the show remains entirely unscripted, both inside and outside the house.
Bigg Boss 19 is completely unscripted
Tanya Mittal had previously expressed her distress over her treatment on the show, mentioning that certain experiences affected her self-esteem. Responding to these claims, Deepak Dhar clarified in an exclusive conversation with Telly Talk India/Times Now, “It’s nothing like that. This is an unscripted show. We cannot script anything inside the house and we don’t control anything outside either. Every contestant has their own personality. Whatever they say is entirely their own choice. The show is truly unscripted in the house and beyond.”
This response underscores the show’s format, where contestants are free to act and speak according to their own personalities. Dhar emphasized that the makers neither manipulate contestant behavior inside the house nor control their statements post-show.

Addressing Malti Chahar’s claims
Malti Chahar had alleged during a live interaction that creatives had guided her to speak against Tanya Mittal at the start of her journey. Deepak Dhar addressed this claim, stating, “Malti mentioned that after coming out she was told by creatives what to say initially, but ultimately, everyone is free to express themselves. Contestants decide what they want to say, and no one dictates it fully.”
This clarification reinforces that, while producers may provide general guidance on format or activities, the dialogues, emotions, and interactions of contestants remain unscripted.
Tanya Mittal shares her emotional experience
Tanya Mittal had earlier opened up about her emotional struggles on the show, telling India Today, “I think I was treated in the worst manner. But when I went to sleep, I would feel that this is my destiny, and smile. I really believe that nothing bad happens to good people. However, I must admit, I was insulted a lot on this show, which affected my self-esteem.”
Her statements sparked discussions across social media, prompting Deepak Dhar to reiterate the show’s unscripted nature and defend the freedom contestants have over their words and actions.
