CM Bhajanlal Sharma: Government will take the help of social media influencers to realize the goal of Antyodaya, new broadcasters will bring awareness about public welfare schemes and programs in every district
On the initiative of CM Bhajanlal Sharma, fulfilling this year’s budget announcement, the state government has for the first time issued a new policy for social media influencers. The new broadcasters joining this scheme will spread information about the welfare schemes and programmes of the government to the people in accordance with the concept of Antyodaya of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and to realize the vision of poor welfare of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
In this policy issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations, two categories have been created for new broadcasters, Category A includes social media influencers with more than one lakh subscribers or followers.And category B includes social media influencers with minimum 7 thousand to 1 lakh subscribers or followers. One new broadcaster will be selected in each category at the district level, and two new broadcasters in category A and one in category B will be selected at the divisional level.The in-charge of the District Information and Public Relations Office will monitor the work of these new broadcasters as their mentor. The department will also help these new broadcasters in acquiring skills like content creation, video-audio editing, SEO, social media management and branding etc.
The new broadcasters will upload one post daily related to the public welfare schemes and decisions of the State Government on at least two of their social media accounts out of Facebook, X, Instagram and YouTube. Besides this, we will publicise the schemes by sharing or re-posting the posts from various social media handles of the government on a daily basis.
It is noteworthy that in the revised budget for the year 2024-25, it was announced to bring a skill-based innovative policy to involve social media influencers in the promotion of public welfare schemes.
