UP CM Yogi Adityanath while wishing the people of the state on the 648th birth anniversary of Satguru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, highlighted the importance of his spiritual principles and Karmayoga. He said that Satguru Ravidas Ji gave special importance to spiritual purification and the practice of karma.
“Satguru Ravidas ji considered karma as paramount and this ideology has also been accepted by our scriptures,” Yogi Adityanath said while speaking at a programme at Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Math. Referring to the verses of Bhagavad Gita and Ramcharitmanas, he underlined the importance of Karma and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also made India a leader on the world stage by adopting this Karmayoga in the last 11 years.
Referring to the inspirational story of Satguru Ravidas ji ‘Mann Changa To Kathauti Mein Ganga’, CM Yogi Adityanath stressed on the importance of spiritual purification. He said that as per the vision of the Prime Minister, the state government has installed a grand statue of Satguru Ravidas ji Maharaj at his birthplace Seer Govardhan, Kashi. To give a grand look to this place, Yatri Vishramalaya, Park, Restaurant, Annapurna Bhawan have been constructed so that lakhs of devotees can have darshan together.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister also mentioned about the revival work of the birthplace of Maharishi Valmiki and Sant Tulsidas ji and said that the double engine government is continuously working in this direction.
CM Yogi Adityanath informed that lakhs of rupees have been provided so far and assured the committee that additional funds will be arranged as per the requirement. The state government will continue to support the work of restoration and beautification of the temple of Satguru Ravidas ji and the places associated with him.
He said that today is a very holy day as the Maha Kumbh Snan is underway in Prayagraj. Since January 13, more than 47 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in the holy confluence of Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna and Maa Saraswati in a month. This sequence will continue till February 26, and in the coming 14 days, a large number of devotees will reach Mahakumbh for bathing.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, other public representatives, senior officials of the administration, members of Sant Ravidas Seva Samiti and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
