CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed the ODOP scheme.
- ODOP scheme has contributed significantly in the economic development, employment and self-employment generation of the state: Chief Minister
- Every district of Uttar Pradesh has its own unique identity of food, this identity should be promoted so that it attracts tourists
- To increase the export of ODOP, new entrepreneurs should be added to this scheme and they should be encouraged to use new technology
- Accelerate productivity and market access of ODOP
- To make the ODOP scheme more effective, online marketing should be promoted so that maximum use of this method of marketing can be made in making the scheme effective.
- CFCs should be made functional and upgraded, and the process of expanding CFCs as per the need and building new CFCs should be initiated.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) scheme has made an important contribution to the economic development, employment and self-employment generation in the state.This scheme has proved helpful in increasing the state’s exports. The products of this scheme have also given the state recognition on the global platform. Through the ODOP scheme, the state has taken forward Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign.
The Chief Minister was reviewing the ODOP scheme in a high-level meeting convened at his official residence today. He said that people in the country and the world are curious about ODOP.There are vast possibilities in this field. There is a need to give a new direction to the efforts made so far. Emphasizing on making the ODOP scheme more comprehensive and effective CM Yogi said that the food of each district of has its own distinct identity.This unique identity of food should be promoted so that it attracts tourists. With the increase in tourism in the state, a large number of employment opportunities will also be created.
CM Yogi said that to increase the export of ODOP, new entrepreneurs should be linked to this scheme and encouraged. The productivity and market access of ODOP should be accelerated.New technology should be used for this. He said that ODOP scheme has emerged as a major basis for export growth. Branding, packaging and designing should be improved to further increase the export of ODOP products.
The Chief Minister said that online marketing is growing rapidly. To make the ODOP scheme more effective, online marketing should be promoted so that this method of marketing can be used to the maximum to make the scheme effectiveHe said that Common Facility Centres (CFC) have been established in various districts to facilitate the entrepreneurs associated with ODOP and to solve their problems.He said that CFC should be made functional and upgraded and as per requirement, process of expansion of CFC and construction of new CFC should be initiated.
