Governor Haribhau Bagde has said that a strong environment should be created in the country to promote entrepreneurship.Under this, the understanding of new ideas and resources needed for success will have to be developed among the youth. Bagde was speaking at the ‘InnovFest India 2024’ organised by the Poddar Group of Institutions and the Federation of Unicorn Startups and Industry. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country has envisioned a ‘Developed India 2047’. Its success will be possible only with the planned use of human power and increasing the work of new start-ups and entrepreneurship development by the youth of the nation. “India is on its way to becoming a five trillion dollar economy. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected India to become a $5 trillion economy by 2027-28 with the third largest GDP.
The Governor said that start-ups are playing an important role in today’s economic scenario. They not only generate employment but also lead to the development of society through new ideas and technological innovations. He said that after independence, there was a shortage of food grains in the country, but continuous efforts were made for food self-sufficiency in India. Today the country is the largest exporter of food grains. He said that due to the efforts of the central government, important works of road, health, education, agriculture, technological development have been done in the country.
Talking about bringing Narmada water to the villages of Barmer, he said that the youth should become a participant in the development. Talking about the knowledge science of ancient India, he said that Nalanda was such a university in the country where students from all over the world used to come to study. To eliminate this knowledge, the library there was set on fire. Talking about Aryabhatta and Nagarjuna, he said, “Decimal is India’s invention. Nagarjuna was a great teacher. Take inspiration from them and take the youth of the country forward.
The Governor said that moving forward with new thinking, new ideas and new energy, our young entrepreneurs should play an important role in the progress of the country. He stressed on working for development of quality education, skill training and entrepreneurship in the country by eliminating the distinction of village and city.
