Haryana HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign 3.0 launched by CM Nayab Saini to promote HIV testing, prevention and awareness among youth.
Nayab Singh Saini launched the Haryana HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign 3.0 in Panchkula on the occasion of International Youth Day. The statewide campaign, officially known as the ‘Intensified Information Education and Communication Campaign 3.0’, will continue until October 12.
The Haryana HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign 3.0 aims to spread accurate information about HIV/AIDS among young people and the general public. The initiative focuses on preventing HIV infections, encouraging timely testing and treatment, and addressing common myths and misconceptions surrounding the disease.
Haryana Reports Progress in HIV Identification
Speaking at the launch, CM Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the state’s efforts to strengthen HIV prevention and awareness. According to the figures shared by the Chief Minister, as of July 2026, around 93.01 percent of the estimated people living with HIV in Haryana had been identified.
Saini stressed that accurate information and timely testing are important tools in preventing the spread of HIV. He also said that nearly 8 lakh people were provided free HIV testing in Haryana during the previous year.
The Haryana HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign 3.0 is designed to take these awareness efforts further by involving young people as active participants in spreading verified information.
CM Asks Every Aware Youth to Reach 10 People
The campaign places special emphasis on youth participation. CM Nayab Singh Saini appealed to every aware young person to share correct information about HIV with at least 10 other people.
The idea is to create a wider network of awareness through young people, allowing reliable information to reach families, friends and communities. The campaign also seeks to counter misconceptions that can prevent people from seeking HIV testing, treatment and support.
Under the Haryana HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign 3.0, young people are being encouraged to become ambassadors of accurate HIV-related information and help create greater awareness at the grassroots level.
₹2,250 Monthly Financial Assistance for Eligible Beneficiaries
The Haryana government is also providing financial support to eligible people living with HIV. CM Saini said that eligible beneficiaries are receiving financial assistance of ₹2,250 every month.

The government’s approach is not limited to identifying HIV cases and providing treatment. It also focuses on extending social and financial support to people living with HIV and helping them access essential services.
ART Centres to Be Established in Remaining Five Districts
The Chief Minister also directed officials to take time-bound steps to establish Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) centres in the remaining five districts of Haryana.
ART centres play an important role in providing treatment and healthcare services to people living with HIV. Expanding such facilities can make treatment services more accessible and help strengthen the state’s overall HIV response.
The Haryana HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign 3.0 will continue until October 12, with awareness, testing, prevention and access to treatment remaining key priorities.
Focus on Facts and Removing HIV-Related Myths
HIV awareness is important because misinformation and misconceptions can create fear and stigma. Through the campaign, the government is seeking to ensure that people receive factual information about HIV transmission, prevention, testing and treatment.
The Haryana HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign 3.0 therefore puts youth at the centre of the awareness drive and calls for collective participation from different sections of society.
CM Nayab Singh Saini urged young people to actively participate in the campaign and help take authentic HIV-related information to more people. The state government expects wider community participation to strengthen awareness and encourage people to seek timely testing and appropriate healthcare services.
