Mann government launches Fatuhi Kheda Minor Project in Punjab to improve irrigation, water conservation, and support farmers’ productivity.
In a major initiative to improve irrigation facilities in rural areas, the Mann government has launched the Fatuhi Kheda Minor Project in Halka Lambi’s Fatuhi Kheda village. The project, with a budget of ₹1.20 lakh, includes concrete lining of the minor and the construction of a head regulator.
Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian inaugurated the project, highlighting its potential to improve irrigation efficiency and support water conservation efforts in the region. The project aims to ensure proper water distribution and benefit local farmers by enhancing agricultural productivity.
Concrete Lining and Head Regulator to Improve Irrigation
The Fatuhi Kheda Minor Project involves concrete lining of the canal, which will reduce water seepage and wastage. The installation of a head regulator will ensure regulated water flow to farmlands, making irrigation more effective and reliable. This initiative is expected to directly benefit the farming community in Halka Lambi and surrounding areas.
