Major Central and State Government Projects to Be Unveiled
During the PM Modi Gujarat visit 2026, key projects under the central government, including the Ministry of Energy, Road Transport & Highways, and Railways, worth ₹10,921 crore, will be inaugurated. Additionally, Gujarat government projects spanning urban development, water resources, water supply, roads & buildings, GIDC, health, tourism, and tribal welfare, totaling ₹8,886 crore, will also be unveiled.
World’s Largest Hybrid Renewable Energy Park in Kutch
A highlight of the PM Modi Gujarat visit 2026 will be the inauguration of three major renewable energy projects worth ₹3,645 crore in Khavda, Kutch. These projects are part of the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park and are expected to contribute thousands of megawatts to the national green energy grid, strengthening India’s energy security and promoting sustainable development.
Boost to Roads and Highway Infrastructure
Significant road projects will be inaugurated, including the Ider-Bardoli Bypass four-lane road (₹705 crore) and Dholavira-Movana-Vova-Santalpur section (₹575 crore). Key segments of the Ahmedabad-Dholera project—Package 1 (₹1,298 crore), Package 2 (₹1,415 crore), Package 3 (₹1,034 crore), and Package 4 (₹1,358 crore)—will also be launched, signaling a major push in Gujarat’s highway infrastructure during the PM Modi Gujarat visit 2026.

Expansion of Railway Network
The Railways Ministry will inaugurate projects worth ₹891 crore, including Himmatnagar-Khedbrahma broad-gauge line, Gandhidham-Adipur quadrupling, and Kalanus-Jamnagar doubling. A new train service from Khedbrahma will also be flagged off. These projects aim to enhance connectivity across Gujarat and reduce travel time significantly.
Urban Development in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar
Under Gujarat’s Urban Development Department, projects worth ₹5,295.5 crore will be inaugurated. In Ahmedabad, initiatives include Khari-Kat Canal development, modernization of BRTS and AMTS bus services, new four-lane Subhash Bridge, EWS housing, sports complexes, and auditoriums. Gandhinagar will see accelerated work on EWS housing, sewage treatment plants, micro-tunneling, and stormwater line projects.
PM Housing Scheme to Benefit Rural Citizens
As part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate homes in 34 districts of Gujarat, covering 38,949 households. This initiative will help rural residents realize their dream of owning a home, reinforcing the government’s focus on inclusive development during the PM Modi Gujarat visit 2026.
