He also reviewed the proposed 3D model of the statue. Later, Yogi unveiled a statue of Swami Vivekananda at Saraswati Shishu Mandir Senior Secondary School on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary. He said that Swami Vivekananda effectively established the Sanatan Vedic culture on the global stage at a time when the country was in the shackles of slavery. This young monk played a big role in awakening the consciousness of the nation through the civilization of his thoughts and conduct. Swami Vivekananda, who left Kaya at the age of just 42, always talked about India and Indianness. Today, on his birth anniversary, the entire country is remembering him as a great son of Mother India and a national-spiritual guru, expressing gratitude for his contribution.
“When Swami Vivekananda put Indian Sanatan values on the global stage at the Chicago conference, the world was mesmerised and moved. Swamiji had said that Sanatana Dharma is the most ancient religion. Every Indian should be proud of this. Swamiji’s teaching is that we should all have one religion, Rashtra Dharma. If India followed the ideas of Swami Vivekananda, it did not take time for the country to become independent.
“Swami Vivekananda believed that the harder the challenge, the more successful it will be if you work hard according to it. According to them, there is no alternative. Following the ideals of Swamiji, facing difficult challenges, India today has become the fifth largest economy in the world and is moving towards becoming the third economy. This will increase per capita income, usher in a new era of education, health, infrastructure. India will become a global technology hub. There will be happiness on every face in the country.
CM Yogi said that in line with the ideals of Swamiji, tablets and smartphones are being provided to 2 crore youth under the ‘Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme’ to empower the youth in accordance with the times. The Saraswati Shishu Mandir was started by Nanaji Deshmukh from Gorakhpur to impart education in accordance with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and to awaken the spirit of nationalism. The Saraswati Shishu Mandir schools have always imbibed the ideas of Swami Vivekananda. There is a long chain of Saraswati Shishu Mandir schools across the country to carry forward the ideas of Swamiji. Today, important work has also been done in tribal areas through these Shiksha Mandirs. Today the foundation stone of a park in the name of Nanaji Deshmukh has been laid.
CM Yogi released 2 handwritten magazines during the programme and enthused the children by watching a soulful dance drama centered on Maa Durga. Senior officials and public representatives were present on the occasion.
