On the occasion of World Health Day 2026, the Haryana Government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare services to every citizen of the state. Aligning with the global theme “Together for Health: Stand with Science,” the state administration is intensifying its efforts to strengthen medical infrastructure and ensure that no individual is left behind in the journey toward total wellness.
Strengthening Healthcare Infrastructure
The state government has launched several landmark initiatives to make healthcare more robust. As part of the World Health Day 2026 mission, the administration is focusing on the effective implementation of schemes like Nirogi Haryana and Chirayu Haryana.
Notably, the income eligibility for the Nirogi Haryana scheme has recently been raised to ₹3 lakh, bringing a significantly larger portion of the population under the umbrella of free health screenings. Furthermore, the government has announced the establishment of 100 new health sub-centres and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs to provide last-mile medical connectivity.

Preventive Care: Free HPV vaccinations for 3 lakh adolescent girls to prevent cervical cancer.
Elderly Care: Free blood testing facilities for all citizens above 70 years of age, regardless of income.
Mental Wellness: Deployment of specialized counselors at community health centers and schools.
Digital Health: Streamlining GIS-based health mapping to track and address regional health disparities.
