CM Dr. Mohan Yadav Advocates Solar Pumps and Cow Rearing for Farmers’ Empowerment
CM Mohan Yadav has called upon voluntary organizations linked with the Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Prasfutan Committees, and Navankur Institutions to actively encourage farmers to adopt solar pumps for self-sufficiency in energy. Additionally, he emphasized the promotion of cow rearing as a means to enhance farmers’ incomes. He directed that both initiatives be implemented as large-scale statewide campaigns.
CM Mohan Yadav also expressed concern over the increasing prevalence of severe diseases like cancer in rural areas. He stressed the importance of educating farmers about the risks associated with chemical fertilizers and pesticides, urging the Parishad to advocate for natural and sustainable farming practices. He highlighted the crucial role of the Jan Abhiyan Parishad in energy conservation, water management, environmental protection, healthcare, and skill development.
Jan Abhiyan Parishad’s Key Role in Development Initiatives
The 15th Executive Committee meeting of the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad was held at Samatva Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s residence, under CM Mohan Yadav ’s leadership. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, Jan Abhiyan Parishad Vice President Shri Mohan Nagar, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Shri Mohammad Suleman, and other senior officials.
CM Mohan Yadav emphasized the need to transform the Jal Ganga Abhiyan into a mass movement, with the Parishad playing a key role. He instructed the organization to collaborate with the Panchayat and Rural Development Department to raise awareness at the village level. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of promoting millet and oilseed cultivation in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for agricultural advancement.
During the meeting, officials reviewed progress on the training of Navankur institutions, CM Mohan Yadav ’s Community Leadership Development Program, and various skill development initiatives. Discussions also covered administrative and managerial strategies for enhancing the Parishad’s impact.
Launch of Developmental Resources and Snakebite Prevention Initiative
On this occasion, CM Mohan Yadav unveiled the Personality Development and Character Building booklet, created under the Community Leadership Development Program in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya University. He also released the Divisional Review Report 2024-25 of the Jan Abhiyan Parishad and a publication titled The World of Voluntary Organizations.
In a significant move to prevent snakebite-related fatalities, an MoU was signed between the state government and the Snake Research Organization, Ujjain. This initiative aims to provide specialized training in snake handling and first aid to home guards, youth, and interested individuals. As a result, every police station in the state will have a trained individual available to respond effectively to snakebite incidents.
