PUNJAB NEWS : MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla has strongly objected to Manish Sisodia’s visits to schools in Punjab, questioning the involvement of Delhi leaders in the state’s education affairs. He criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for shifting focus to Punjab after suffering a major electoral defeat in Delhi, stating that such visits, without the presence of Punjab’s Education Minister Harjot Bains, were highly inappropriate.
Aujla accused Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of working under influence and using Punjab’s resources to serve Delhi’s interests. He argued that after being rejected by Delhi voters, senior AAP leaders from Delhi are now interfering in Punjab’s administration. He further pointed out that if AAP’s education model was truly effective, they would not have faced such a resounding defeat in Delhi.
The MP alleged that Manish Sisodia failed to bring real improvements to Delhi’s education system and is now meddling in Punjab’s affairs to undermine local ministers. Aujla suggested that Harjot Bains should resign, as it appears that Delhi leaders are making all key decisions, diminishing the role of Punjab’s ministers.
He also criticized AAP for focusing on superficial changes like renovating school buildings while neglecting pressing issues such as delayed book distribution, poor mid-day meal quality, and a shortage of teachers. According to Aujla, instead of addressing these concerns, CM Bhagwant Mann is more focused on appeasing AAP’s central leadership and handing over Punjab’s administration to them, which he believes must be stopped immediately.
