AAP launches “Remove Trade Deal, Save Farmers” campaign against US-India trade agreement; state-wide protests from February 14 to March 9 to protect Indian farmers, livestock, and textile industry.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced a state-wide campaign titled “Trade Deal Hatao, Kisan Bachao” (Remove Trade Deal, Save Farmers) in opposition to the recent US-India trade agreement. The campaign was unveiled at a press conference held in Ahmedabad by AAP State General Secretary Sagar Rabari, Frontal Organization State President Praveen Ram, and State Chief Spokesperson Dr. Karan Barot.
Praveen Ram stated that AAP has always fought for the rights and interests of farmers across Gujarat. From grassroots protests to state-level advocacy, the party has consistently supported farmers. He emphasized that the new US-India trade deal poses a serious threat to Indian farmers, and AAP will actively support all farmer organizations and unions opposing this agreement. The campaign will run from February 14 to March 9, 2026, involving ground-level activities across the state.

AAP Warns of Risks to Agriculture and Industry
Sagar Rabari highlighted that the trade deal threatens India’s sovereignty, economic policies, and agricultural sector. He warned that zero-import duty for US dairy products could harm Indian farmers, while the imposition of duties on Indian products in the US could impact the textile and cotton industries. Rabari stated that transparency is lacking, as the Indian government has not fully disclosed the agreement’s details, while US officials have openly confirmed that the deal opens India’s market for American farmers.
Protecting Farmers, Livestock, and Industry
Praveen Ram emphasized that AAP will not only support existing protests but also lead a strong statewide movement to protect farmers, livestock owners, and the textile sector from potential losses. The party aims to raise public awareness and ensure that national and state interests are safeguarded.
AAP remains committed to defending the rights of Gujarat’s farmers and preventing any trade agreement that could threaten their livelihoods.
