CM Nitish Kumar today gave a gift of more than Rs 1107 crore to Madhubani district in the course of PragatiYatra. During this, the Chief Minister inaugurated, started work and laid the foundation stone of 139 developmentalschemes through remote.In the course of the progress journey, he reached the village Durgipatti in the block Khutauna of Madhubani district
CM Nitish Kumar first paid tribute to Amar Shaheed Ramfal Mandal by garlanding his statue. The Chief Minister inspected Saksham Anganwadi Center in Ward No. 14 of Durgipatti village of Khutauna block under Madhubani district.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister interacted with the children and teachers of the Anganwadi Centre and inquired about the facilities being provided. During this, the children and teachers of the Anganwadi Centre greeted the Chief Minister.The Chief Minister said that children should be taught properly. Also, the art of learning should be developed in them. Teach children in such a way that their interest in studies increases so that they can become better citizens when they grow up.This is our future generation who are the future of the state and the country.
CM Nitish Kumar visited the stalls set up by Jeevika sisters and various departments in village Durgipatti.During the observation, the Chief Minister distributed forms among 926 landless families and appointment letters to the newly appointed Amins under Abhiyan Basera-2 in Madhubani district.Symbolic cheque of Mukhyamantri Nari Shakti Yojana, Symbolic cheque of Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana, Health letter, Symbolic cheque of Rs. 260 crore for financial support through bank linkage to 1 lakh 43 thousand 166 Jeevika sisters associated with 23 thousand 861 Jeevika self-help groups, Symbolic cheque of Rs. 56 crore 70 lakh under Community Investment Fund was given to 28 thousand 350 Jeevika sisters associated with 5 thousand 670 Jeevika self-help groups,Symbolic cheque of Rs. 11.5 crore for financial support to 2875 sisters who are beneficiaries of Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, keys of tricycles to Divyangjans,
CM Nitish Kumar interacted with the Jeevika sisters during the stall inspection. He said that all of you are doing a very good job. I congratulate all of you. When I was an MP and a minister at the centre, I visited various places and saw the work of self-help groups. The number of self-help groups in Bihar was very less. When we got the opportunity to work in Bihar in 2005, we took a loan from the World Bank in 2006 and started increasing the number of self-help groups. We named the women associated with self-help groups as ‘Jeevika Didi’.Inspired by our work, the Central Government of that time named it ‘Ajeevika’. Wherever we go, we definitely meet Jeevika sistersThey listen to them and if they have any demand or problem, the officers present on the spot solve those problems. By joining self-help groups, the condition of women has improved a lot.
CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated developmental schemes through remote in the premises of Government Middle School, Durgipatti. These include construction work of roof rainwater harvesting in the upgraded middle school, beautification of the government pond, construction work of MNREGA park near the government pond, soil from the main road to the edge of the water tap in the village panchayat Durgipatti,Construction work of Kharanja and PCC road, construction work of waste processing unit under Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan and installation of 10 kW solar plate for solar energy on the roof of the upgraded middle school are included.
After the inauguration, CM Nitish Kumar inspected Amrit Sarovar, Durgapatti, which was beautified under the Water-Life-Greenery Campaign. By starting the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan in the year 2019, we started the work of renovation and beautification of all public wells and ponds etc
After this, CM Nitish Kumar reached the inspection site at Sukki village and observed the proposed plan to revive Purani Kamla Dhar, Jeevchh River, Jeevchh Kamla, Purani Kamla River etc. and to increase irrigation and flood mitigation through it.During this, the officials told the Chief Minister that through this proposed scheme, excess water of Kamla Balan river is to be sent to drought-affected areas.
And the purpose is to reduce the pressure on Kamla Balan embankment during the flood period. Also, the purpose is to divert the excess water in the river during the flood period to protect the lives of people from being affected by the adverse effects of flood.The objective of this scheme is to make the cultivable land highly fertile by providing water to the drought prone areas. After the completion of this scheme, irrigation facility will be available to the farmers in about 10 thousand hectares.Also, due to availability of water in rural areas, the production of aquatic products like Makhana etc. will increase. This will increase the income of farmers and will also benefit in recharging the ground water table of Madhubani and Darbhanga districts
After this,CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Sugarway Bear Riverfront near Araria Sangram Village in Jhanjharpur Block by cutting the ribbon. During this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the river bank development and protective works worth Rs 1396.11 lakh on the Sugarway River by unveiling the plaque. The Chief Minister also inspected the Sugarway Bear River Front.During this time he said that it has been built very well. The view here looks very good. People will have a good experience in roaming here and sitting in the evening.
After this, CM Nitish Kumar inspected the site of the proposed scheme for the expansion of the canal located at Bideshvar place, the last end of the Western Kosi Canal of NH 57.During this, the officials informed the Chief Minister through a diagram that there is a plan to expand the Ugnad branch canal in a length of 33.63 km and the Bideshvar Sthan sub-branch canal in a length of 21.34 km. This will benefit 80 villages of Madhubani and Darbhanga districts and 26 thousand 879 hectares of area will be benefited for irrigation. The estimated cost of this scheme is Rs 569.18 crore.During the site inspection, the Chief Minister said that this will provide great convenience to the farmers of Darbhanga and Madhubani districts in irrigation. Besides, due to increased availability of water in rural areas, production of aquatic products like makhana, water chestnut and fish etc. will also increase.
