CM Nitish Kumar : Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 183 schemes.
CM Nitish Kumar today handed over a total of 183 development projects worth Rs 445 crore to Lakhisarai district under Pragati Yatra. He inaugurated 117 projects and laid foundation stones of 66 projects.
On the occasion, CM Nitish Kumar unveiled the plaque and inaugurated the construction work of the pedestal and show-case at Lakhisarai Museum at village Balgudar in Lakhisarai block. He then visited the galleries of stone sculpture, terracotta, extinct coins and other artefacts while inspecting the museum. The officials gave detailed information about the exhibition to the Chief Minister. During the inspection he also saw the joint map of Bihar-Bengal published in 1772 AD. A short film on the protected sites of Lakhisarai district prepared by the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Government of Bihar was also screened at the Museum Theatre. Appreciating the exhibition at the museum, the Chief Minister said that it would give people an insight into their glorious history and heritage. He also gave instructions to install solar plates there.
After this, CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various schemes in the premises of Balgudar Panchayat Government Building through remote. He handed over token cheques of Rs. 93.80 crore to 2508 Jeevika Self Help Groups while inspecting the departmental stalls. Apart from this, transfer letter of 4 Jeevika Mahila Gram Sangathan buildings constructed under MGNREGA, Rs 1 lakh under Bihar Small Entrepreneurs Scheme, Rs 2 lakh under Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana, token cheque of Rs. 4.12 lakh under SC & ST Welfare Department, battery operated tricycle to Divyangjan, token cheque and keys to beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Block Paribahan Yojana were given.
Besides, the Chief Minister inaugurated the sports ground at Gram Panchayat Balgudar under MGNREGA at a cost of Rs. 8.99 lakh. After this, he inspected the ground and interacted with the players, who welcomed him with applause.
CM Nitish Kumar inspected the renovated pond under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan and directed the officials to construct step-gates on both sides of the pond. He said that on one side the ghat is already built, but with the construction of the ghat on three sides, people will be more comfortable. The Chief Minister said that after discussing with all the parties, it was decided to run the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali campaign, under which public wells and ponds are being renovated and beautified across Bihar. On this occasion, artists gave a presentation based on the eradication of drug addiction and dowry system.
Later, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of the development and beautification work of Shiv Ganga pond at Ashok Dham (Lakhisarai) through remote. During the inspection, he directed the officials to take the help of Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali scheme in this work and deepen the pond so that more water can be conserved. At the same time, a concrete ghat should also be built on the bank of the pond for the convenience of devotees.
CM Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stone for the construction of a high-level RCC bridge and approach road over Kiul river between SH-08 to Kiul station at a cost of Rs. 48.93 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for construction of ROB (Rail Over Bridge) at Level Crossing No-55 between Kiul-Vanshipur Railway Stations at a cost of Rs. 67.29 crore. During the inspection, he directed the officials to construct a concrete stepwell on both sides of the bridge over Kiul river to facilitate the local people and Chhath devotees.
